AHK-Cu is a copper(II) complex of the tripeptide Ala-His-Lys (L-alanyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine). It is a close structural relative of GHK-Cu and is studied in laboratory research on copper-binding peptides and peptide–metal complexes. Its characteristic blue colour comes from the bound copper ion.
